Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 WiFi 8" 32GB Review
There is no doubt that Samsung has been working really hard this year with their latest releases such as the galaxy S6 edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5. As if that’s not enough to catch the eye of the large screen lovers, they introduced the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 WiFi 8" 32GB which is basically a tweaked version of the original Galaxy S. Of course, there are a few practical improvements on this new baby.
To begin with, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 WiFi 8" 32GB is lighter and more slender. Moreover, it’s superfast as compared to its younger sibling the Galaxy S 8.4. In addition to these, it comes with a super AMOLED screen and an incredible octa-core chipset. All these happen to be packaged into a body that is less than 0.5 inches thick.
When it comes to design, you would probably notice Samsung’s new angle in terms of design. You would probably notice the new approach just as seen in the Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6. There is a new matte finish and a metal frame. You will also realize the new glass front and curved edges. This is an improvement given the original Tab S had a dimpled back. Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 WiFi 8" 32GB is thinner and lighter than its younger sibling and the Apple iPad mini 3. However, this new design screams ‘Apple’ and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 WiFi 8" 32GB won’t have much to brag to their iPad counterparts.
Gaming with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 WiFi 8" 32GB is pretty flawless. This baby plays a variety of games without any issues. The battery life is also impressive as it can afford around seven hours of playtime. However, the sound is a bit of a disappointment. You don’t want to carry around your Bluetooth speakers when you want to watch a movie on your Tablet especially after shelling out a considerable amount of money. In fact, this is the only department that could use some work. The Samsung speakers are not only underpowered, but also poorly placed and so you can easily block them when using your tablet.
Given that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 WiFi 8" 32GB is in the same price range as the Apple Ipad Mini 4, it doesn’t disappoint. Of course, there are other cheap options like the Asus ZenPad 8.0 and Asus ZenPad 7.0 to consider. However, their subpar performance and poor battery life leave no choice other than go for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 WiFi 8" 32GB. In this regard, if you can afford to get your hands on one of these new big beauties, then you’d be getting one of the best on the market right now. Nevertheless, you will still be concerned about Samsung’s choice of skin(Touchwiz) but if it’s upgraded to the new android marshmallow, then you have nothing to worry about except for the poor sound.
