Rockport Almartin Review
The Rockfort Almartin is a men’s dress shoe with full-grain leather upper and collar that is excellent to use in a more formal setting.
The Almartin’s leather looks stiff but the padded collar and tongue make it very comfortable. The foodbed is made of DMX foam with a soft jersey lining for a more cushy feeling and a Dynamic Suspension to absorb shocks or impacts. Even after a whole-day work, the foot remains painless. By the way, The Almartin’s leather doesn’t shine much. Some men like it that way, but, others like something shinier. It is easy to clean, though, and easy to maintain.
The Almartin has a narrow width and a narrow opening. Unless the wearer has a narrow foot, he would struggle getting his foot on this shoe. It is recommended to buy a half-size bigger than your normal size. You can also buy the shoe with a bigger width. The Almartin offers three different width sizes. The medium width, by the way, is still a little narrow. So, it would be better to try the shoes on before buying a pair or expect a little waiting time if you need to change the size.
The Almartin has an Oxford classic lace up design. This lace, however, should be tied well or else the edge of the heel will touch the skin a lot and cause some skin irritations.
The Almartin has a manmade flex groove outsole with slip resistance and flexibility. It feels safe to use this shoe even on slippery surfaces. And since it is lighter than other dress shoes, walking is effortless.
The Almartin matches well with any suit or coat. It can be worn in going to the office, school, church, special occasions or events.
The only available colors for the Almartin are black and brown. Overall, the Rockport Almartin is classic, attractive, smart-looking, very comfortable to use and durable. Its softness doesn’t require any breaking-in. It is a little pricey, though, and anyone who wants to grab this shoe should shop around for big discounts that shoe stores offer these days.
