Jabra Rox Review
If you are one of the bass aficionados out there and looking for new wireless earbuds, then the Jabra Rox would come in handy. You would quickly realize why most people prefer wireless earphones in place of wired ones. With the wireless Jabra Rox, you get better sound quality. Don't you just hate it when your earphones' cables tangle? Well, there is a good solution for that problem here.
The Jabra Rox have magnetic earpieces and a short cable that connects them. This basically ensures that it will be very hard for the headset to angel or twist. Sound quality is reasonable but if you desire even better, then you should consider the JayBird BlueBuds X.
The Jabra Rox earphones are well designed and come in either black or white. As mentioned, they have a thick and short cable that connects them. When not in use, you are able to store them securely thanks to the magnetic earpieces that snap together with the microphone compartment. This ensures that the cable doesn't tie itself in knots.
The Jabra Rox have a microphone on the left earpiece, an LED light that lights up when the earphones are connected and a small cover that secures the USB port designed for charging. The earphones also house a small remote on the right earpiece. There are a couple of buttons to control your device and here you can stop, play, pause and increase the volume of the device remotely.
Battery life would be something to consider on such as device and Jabra assure you of 18 days when the earphones are on standby and 5.5 hrs talk time or when playing music. It will take you around 24hrs to get the Rox fully charged. In the box, you will find a USB charger, a small pouch, ear cushions and stabilizing fins.
In the connectivity department, Jabra did a good job as the Jabra Rox is compatible with Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC. After your pair your device for the first time, it automatically pairs whenever the earphones are switched on. Although the earphones are powered by Dolby, Jabra still have a free app that enhances the audio processing to Dolby Digital Plus. However, it doesnÕt really enhance the sound quality but could be good enough to enhance the sound effect.
When it comes to performance, the Rox just gets it right as you can still get quality sound even when playing music on high volume levels. The sound doesn't distort when listening at high volumes.
All in all, the Jabra Rox earphones are good especially for people who love the bass. Moreover, these earphones are comfortable to wear and are completely protected from dust, sweat and water. If you are looking for an alternative or maybe the brand is something you consider, then you can check out the LG Tone Ultra (HBS800) or the Sennheiser MM100. For something a not inexpensive, then the Outdoor technology DJ Slims should be a consideration. However, the Jabra Rox are well priced and apart from the quality sound they provide, they also come with a few extras such as NFC, mini USB port and Bluetooth connectivity.
