Fujifilm XF1 Review
Shooting with the Fujifilm XF1 can be of great fun as this camera incorporates all the features that a modern digital camera, particularly for amateur users, should have.
The unique slender design along with the texture of the skin adds an elegant look which plays an important role in its selection over other identical products. Equipped with a powerful lens of 12 megapixels, this camera offers one of the best photographic experiences to users. The synthetic leather and the brushed aluminum used in the camera give it a retro look which actually makes it more attractive. The overall feel that one gets holding the camera in hand is also great. One of the most important features of Fujifilm XF1 is its CMOS image sensor.
The CMOS image sensor is 2/3 inch in size and is much larger than other cameras of the same class. As a result the pictures that it clicks are of impeccable quality. The weight of the camera is 7.9 ounce which means users can easily carry it around without feeling some heavy weight hanging around them. Its 3 inch rear LCD screen packs a 460,000 pixels resolution which is pretty good in its class. When switched off the lens perfectly coils into the body and do not extrude out of the body in any way, which makes this camera easy to handle.
Another important feature of the Fujifilm XF1is the less number of control buttons. Unlike many other cameras it does not hold a large number of control buttons and so users can operate it easily. The minimum number of buttons reduces the confusion of users, thus helping them manage the camera more deftly. Each of the functions in the camera is customizable through the menu. Packed with features this camera can be an asset to users. As far as the lens of the Fujifilm XF1 is concerned, the 4x zoom design allows a 25-100mm field of view with variable aperture starting at f/1.8 in zoomed out to f/4.9 in zoomed position.
The f/1.8 aperture is perfect for shooting in low light condition and users can get better results than other cameras. Users can also take the advantage of the EXR Auto mode in order to get impeccable quality shots. The video quality is also very good and the lens quickly adjusts itself when zoomed in video mode. The loud and clear audio and the accuracy of color complement the video quality. The time gap between pressing the shitter release and the capture of the photo is 0.3 seconds which is a standard feature. The Fujifilm XF1 allows burst shooting at 8 frames per second that also at full resolution. However, this camera does not allow the addition of an external flash. No viewfinder can also be attached to the camera, thus making it a bit on the negative side.
