Features & Design: 5/5 | Performance: 5/5 | Value: 5/5 | Battery Life: 3/5
Fitbit inspire is a user-friendly fitness tracking device for all-day activity by wearing it on the wrist. What's best about this fitness tracker is that it monitors heart rate 24/7 which maximizes your workout sessions, also, it keeps a track on heart rate zones and calories burned. Additionally, sleep stages improve sleep quality. Moreover, there are more than 15 exercise modes and can set targets for distance, time or calorie burn to reach a goal. Reach your fitness goals with this 1.2 x 3.9 x 8.9 inches and extremely light-weight (0.64 ounces) tracker.
The battery life is really good; Fitbit Inspire comes with a 5 days battery life with no need for constant charging. Being water-resistant to 50M, this tracker is swim proof. Unlike other fitness trackers, Fitbit Inspire has an OLED touchscreen that is bright enough under intense sunlight.
Though Fitbit is water-resistant there is no swim tracking feature. Also, Inspire doesn’t work well in a sauna or hot tub; hence not recommended for such sessions. There is no buckle fastening for a secure and comfortable fit.
Is it for you?
If you are looking for easy all-day activity, sleep, and health tracking, then Fitbit inspire is definitely for you. Activity tracking comprises of steps taken, distance, active minutes and calories burned whereas sleep tracking offers silent alarms, bedtime reminders and much more. You'll be updated with all your phone's notifications. This tracking device gives great performance with good battery life.
What we like
An attractive feature is the smartTrack which automatically recognizes the workout type like running, swimming, walking, bike riding and records in the Fitbit app. This fitness tracker not only has a good battery life but a fast charging time. You can fully charge it to 100% in less than 2 hours. Throughout the exercise, smartTrack save the heart rate data at the 1-second interval and 5 seconds during normal times.
To wake up the tracker screen, all you need to do is rotate your wrist. The brightness can be adjusted with the wake gesture mode. Those who don’t want to wear the tracker on their wrists can buy accessory bands and clips that are sold separately. You can easily receive and read your phone’s notifications on the tracker screen. Fitbit inspire is compatible with the easy setup Fitbit app where you find active health goals and workout data.
What we don't like
The Fitbit inspire doesn't come with an in-built GPS or navigation system but fortunately, you can connect to your phone's GPS to see real-time pace and distance during hiking, running, and joking. Another thing that might disappoint users is the loop and pin mechanism of silicone straps which are not so secure and hard to adjust. Also, the straps are more rigid and firmer. There is no Android 'quick replies' feature; one needs his phone to reply to the notifications. Fitbit Inspire also lacks music and other smartwatch features.
Should you buy it?
Keep in mind that Fitbit inspire is not a smartwatch, it is a basic fitness tracker with some useful features. So if you aim to buy an easy to use, slim, stylish, touchscreen and waterproof fitness tracker, then Fitbit inspire take lead in performance and functionality.
