Final Fantasy Type-0 (PS4) Review
After the much awaited release of the Final Fantasy Type-0 for last generation consoles, there has been a lot being said about the game and I sort some advice from an ardent gamer. After some searches on gamers forums and expert reviews, I discovered a couple of things about the Final Fantasy Type-0 (PS4). So was it worth the wait?
After all, the Final Fantasy Type-0 (PS4) is still a mythic game. For those who have been following the Final Fantasy type-0 series, they would agree that it has been disappointment with every upgrade. However, in the Final Fantasy Type-0 (PS4), things are different. This game is uniquely better than any other Final Fantasy Type O game available today. You will discover the fine balance between complexity and simplicity, approachability and difficulty, scale and scope. This balance is what has been missing in all other games. You will also discover that the game has its own unique voice and there is a wide array of activities to keep you preoccupied. These activities aren’t all flawless but at least they would keep you busy instead of spending hours in one of those generic ‘saving the world’ games.
As you would expect from any upgrade or new product, there were a couple of things to critic about the Final Fantasy Type-0 (PS4). First of all, the guys at Square Enix did a moderately good job on the graphics department. Furthermore, the motion blur is too much and I think it’s supposed to cover up the lack of proper graphics. You will find yourself fighting in boring boxy dungeons once in a while. What’s more, the developers messed up things by adding numerous tutorial boxes that may distract you and take away the thrill for finding out stuff.
You will find smooth character models and muddy background textures. During cut scenes, the fade to black transition is also boring. This also happens every time you switch angles making the game’s flawlessness a nightmare sometimes. In short, this game goes a long way to show that the guys as Enix put in very little effort to make a game that is suited for a last generation console. It’s more suited for a low power hand held.
All in all, the Final Fantasy Type-0 (PS4) won’t break any world records and won’t be one of your favorite games but it surely will be a good alternative. In fact, it’s the best game in the Final Fantasy Series and so if you like adventure you would be very entertained by this game. Apart from the few problems with the camera and graphics, you will realize that it’s a smartly paced, fine action game with exciting combat mechanics. However, it won’t exceed your expectations because there aren’t many new ideas here. In fact, it’s more of a blend of existing ideas than new ones.
