Blackberry Torch 9800 Review
Blackberry Torch 9800 is an excellent addition to the line-up of sleek and classy Blackberry mobile phones. It looks like the Blackberry Bold 9700 with its similarity in size and shape but the most notable features of Blackberry Torch 9800 are its touch screen and slider.
The gadget’s touch screen slider and QWERTY keyboard are both friendly to the user in terms of typing. If you’re an old Blackberry user, you will notice that the Blackberry Torch 9800 has slimmer keys but there’s nothing to worry because it is manageable. It also has highly improved screen sensitivity, making it a better choice than the Blackberry Storm series.
Like the Blackberry Bold 9700, the handheld has LED flash, lock and mute buttons on the top side, a micro SD card slot which can accommodate up to 32G and a 3.5 mm socket for the headphones on the side. It does not boast of its camera since Blackberry handhelds don’t really create a buzz among snappers. Its 5 MP however is good enough for taking shots of ordinary scenes. What makes Blackberry Torch 9800 a lot different than other Blackberry mobile phones in the market is it operates on an excellent Blackberry OS 5.0 which can still be upgraded to 6.0.
The gadget offers users to give it a personal touch by providing a highly customizable home screen. You will also notice that there are additions to the usual Blackberry shortcut collections: All, Media, Favorites, Frequent, and Downloads. You can expect a good mobile entertainment experience with Blackberry Torch 9800’s Wi-Fi, 3G, social networking and media features. More so, it provides users with more time to enjoy the Blackberry Torch 9800 experience with a better battery life.
Blackberry Torch 9800’s browser has been developed but it still lacks some capabilities such as Flash. Generally speaking however, the phone’s speed is a lot better than other Blackberry handhelds. There’s not so much lag time except when you have several apps running at the same time. It goes to say that Blackberry Torch 9800 is friendly to multitaskers.
